I treat my skin with extra special care because it’s sensitive. I don’t like to take chances that may make it feel uncomfortable, break out, or become red and irritated. Some of the factors that cause my skin to be more sensitive are times when it’s overly dry, especially in winter or exposure to any skin damaging environmental factors. These include wind, sun, or excessive exposure to heat or cold. Genetic factors also play a part as well as age, gender, stress, and hormonal activity.
Here are some tips for sensitive skin that I adhere to:
I strive for simple products, ones without a laundry list of ingredients and chemicals. I stay away from highly fragranced cleansers. I also look for clean and clear moisturizing products so that the hydration helps resist drying and abrasion.
Other good skin tips I follow are:
Always take off any makeup with gentle cleaners when I get home, wear sunscreen, eat healthy foods such as fruits and veggies and drink plenty of water. In this way, I can hydrate from the inside out as well as the outside in.

I am highly sensitive to many products, but not to Simple products because they are not made with so many harmful chemicals and fragrances. I am using the Simple facial wipes and I get all of my makeup off very good without feeling allergic to the wipes.

Since my mom’s cancer diagnosis, ( in remission now, thankfully) she has cautioned me against dangerous chemicals in many beauty products. Simple products seem to fit the bill for safety. Will add to my list of products to try.
